School education outcomes in Australia are poor by international standards and are declining. The Page Research Centre has commissioned this paper to summarize the state of school education in Australia today, and to offer policy solutions that aim at improving educational outcomes.
Regional and rural areas are disproportionately affected by declining education standards, so stand to benefit in particular from improvements to standards.
